Marycarmen is a multidisciplinary artist and a graduate of the Stella Adler Art of Acting Studio. Originally from Mexico City, she began her artistic journey in musical theater, dance, singing, and acting, building a strong foundation for her expansive and versatile career. In 2022, she moved to Los Angeles to further explore new creative opportunities and expand her artistic horizons.
From 2016 to 2019, she volunteered with the International Contemporary Dance Festival (FIDCDMX), where she honed her skills in lighting and stage production. In 2019, she created Sin Mi Hogar, a deeply personal and collaborative piece in which she took on multiple roles including writer, actress, producer, set designer, makeup artist, and costume designer.
Her experience spans across film, theater, and live performance, having worked as an actor, dancer, choreographer, editor, gaffer, assistant director, photography assistant, camera assistant, and producer on a variety of short films, pilot episodes, and music videos.
She recently completed filming a short film she wrote, acted in, and produced (now in post-production) marking an exciting new chapter in her work as a storyteller and creator.
Currently, Marycarmen is involved in several exciting theater and film projects, both on stage and behind the scenes. Always ready to bring fresh creative visions to every project she works on.
