Tara Alexandra Brown was born in Reno, Nevada and is an award winning actress, director, writer, and producer. She received a scholarship to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, but chose to attend the University of Nevada, Reno where she was subsequently awarded the Grace-Semenza Drama Scholarship as a Freshman. She graduated summa cum lauda from Southern New Hampshire University where she earned a B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing with a concentration in screenwriting. A member SAG-AFTRA and Actor’s Equity, past credits include Rizzo in Grease, The Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, and Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest. She originated the role of Maggie Moran in Stacey Spain’s comedy, The Killarney Sabbatical with the acclaimed Good Luck Macbeth Theater Company and Kathy Adams in Jerry’s Mayer’s award winning satire and will be portraying the dual roles of Lady Percy and Doll Tearsheet in the Pacific Resident Theater’s adaptation of Henry IV this December. She can be seen as Officer Glover on the CBS hit S.W.A.T. and made her directorial debut in 2022 with the feature film, “Every Day,” starring Vivica A. Fox for which won Best Director at the 8&Halfilm Film Festival and Best Supporting Actress at the Morgana Film Festival.
