Ian Bratschie
Ian Bratschie (he/him) is a Los Angeles–based performer, clown, and actor whose work lives at the intersection of horror and humor. After training at The Second City, iO Theatre, The Groundlings, and UCB, Ian found his way to celebrated clown teacher John Gilkey, whose mentorship introduced him to the world of clown and set him on his current creative path. His screen credits include Modern Family, Justified, School of Rock, and Shameless, along with national campaigns for DIRECTV, McDonald’s, and Samsung. Ian performs with the acclaimed ensembles Clown Zoo and Cruel Babes and teaches with The Idiot Workshop. His work explores queerness, neurodivergence, and the strange joy of being human. Todd Macabre is his latest solo creation—a gothic fever dream of comedy, melancholy, and monsters both real and imagined.
