Camille Corbett is a Fulbright Scholar and a multi-hyphenate artist who lives for a good story and considers herself as much of a reader as she is a writer. Forever the Southern Belle, Camille was born and raised in Atlanta, GA . As a first-generation Jamaican American, Camille has always viewed herself as an outsider. It’s her mission as an artist to bring out the commonality in being different through compelling comedic storytelling and unconventional protagonists. When you read a script or watch a film that Camille has directed, it is clear that she is passionate about shaping strong female characters who are not afraid to be messier, funnier, and more complex than any of their male counterparts. Camille continues to be a proud member of the LA comedy scene through her improv (UCB, GROUNDLINGS, IMPRO STUDIO), stand-up (COMEDY STORE, HOLLYWOOD IMPROV, LAUGH FACTORY, STUDIO CITY COMEDY COMEDY FESTIVAL, LAUGH RIOT GRRL COMEDY FESTIVAL, LA COMEDY FESTIVAL), sketch (BLACKVERSE), theatre (MATRIX THEATRE), comedic musical performances, and acting (Lesly Kahn & Co, and Margie Haber Studio). As a writer, Camille was previously staffed on a multi-cam sitcom for Netflix , as well as a French sex comedy adaptation produced by DreamCrew for Quibi. She is currently writing on an animated show for Disney+. Forever an advocate for women behaving badly, Camille currently has an original animated pilot BADDIES in development with Cartuna that is dedicated to that very notion. In addition to writing, Camille also produces her own passion projects. She raised a Kickstarter for, a pilot (CRYSTAL & CHELSEA) that she produced,  wrote, and starred in that is currently being distributed by Comcast and was the recipient of the Panavision New Filmmaker  Grant. Lastly, Camille is currently doing a festival run for THE ISLAND, a horror short  produced by Outback Presents, and also the recipient of another Panavision New Filmmaker grant, in which Camille directs and plays the villain.
