Fiona Leonard is an award winning writer, playwright and director who has been involved with theatre both onstage and backstage for over forty years, including working as a volunteer with a youth theatre company in Harare, Zimbabwe and for six years as producer for the International Players theatre company in Accra, Ghana. She has been writing for theatre since 2014 and for film since 2020. Before becoming a full time writer she worked for a decade as an Australian diplomat. She has lived in seven countries on four continents.
