Writer/ Director

Ale Flores is a Writer and Actor from the deserts of New Mexico. Ale is a Sag-Actor, a produced screenwriter and a playwright. Ale has starred in award winning films and been in numerous commercials.  Ale Flores specializes in writing comedic characters set in dramatic settings and circumstances. Their writing mixes the bitter with the sweet, and the hilarious with the heart-wrenching. Their work, weaves the modern world in with the traditions of the past.

After finishing a 3 year acting conservatory training at LACC they jumped into working professionally as an actor. They soon found that the roles for Latine women were very limited. This realization drove them to write and produce their first film, “Amores Flores”.  “Amores Flores” is a queer Romcom about a telenovela actress.  The making of this film opened up their eyes to the world of independent productions.  It also made them even more aware of the need for BIPOC representation behind and in front of the camera.

“Amores Flores” is making it’s way around the L.A. film festival circuit. You can listen to Ale’s Radio Play “Flaming Friendaversary” on Spotify.  They wrote a horror film called “Haunting Melody” that had it’s first showing at the “Show and Tale” festival last Halloween.  They also were in “Doll Parts” last year. They played the lead role of Claudette at the Frida Khalo Theater.

Ale is very excited to be sharing  her latest work, “Final Request” with Short and Sweet. After a successful run at The Frida Khalo theatre,  this powerful play had to be seen again. Ale is thrilled to be working with Short and Sweet to promote diverse work.  They hope to make you laugh, cry and revel in the complexities of humanity.
