Janet is an award-winning actor, an educator and writer. She recently returned to performing after teaching high school theatre, and is delighted to be back on stage in a play by her long-time friend Jackie Reingold. Janet’s many theatre credits include premieres by leading playwrights at Playwrights Horizons, Dixon Place, New Mexico Rep, L.A. Theatre Center, The Odyssey and Theatre of NOTE, among other venues. She has also performed her own material, notably her solo show The Ramona Roses, which toured the country to rave reviews. On-screen, Janet has guest-starred on top shows such as Pretty Little Liars and Apple’s Government Cheese, and faced off with Keke Palmer and Laurence Fishburne in the popular classic Akeelah and the Bee. She can currently be seen in Indie features Omi, Peeky and several award-winning shorts. Janet co-wrote the feature film Bellyfruit, starring Michael Peña (Showtime).
