Carmelita Maldonado, is a writer, actor, director, and producer from Boyle Heights, CA. “La Wija”, a horror, comedy short, she wrote and directed, won an audience choice awards at LIFE fest, Sherwood Players, OFF film fest, and best super natural horror at SD FHFF. She has acted in films, commercials, music videos and theatre for many years. Her theater work includes Casa 0101,Chicanas Cholas y Chisme, Teatro Frida Kahlo, 24th Street Theatre, Short & Sweet, Encuentro and Homeward L.A.
