“15 Seconds”

While watching news coverage of yet another mass shooting, a narrow-minded mother receives a phone call in which she learns that not only is her son gay but has also been recently killed in the same shooting. Faced with the realization that her relationship with her son was less than honest, Kate must wade through the remains of a broken best friend, a resilient unbeknownst boyfriend and her own biases as she struggles to reassess her values and find her place in this new reality.
