Seeds in Your Pocket is loosely based on the life of La Maupin, a bi-sexual, eighteenth century French opera singer and swordswoman, who scandalised France with her life and passions. Ostensibly, Seeds in Your Pocket is about the tension between La Maupin’s flamboyant exterior persona and the private sensitivity she shows to her lover, Emily. But it also explores how women vanish from the pages of history books – especially the controversial women.
Seeds stars Georgia Britt as La Maupin and Ali Bendall as Emily.
